Lots of very good trumpet players rate this highly. My honest opinion is that it is entirely useless but that could just be of course that i am not virtuosic enough or my sense of pitch insufficiently refined.

Ich hätte es nicht geglaubt ...

... aber das kleine Ding kann einer (sehr) guten Trompete die letzten 10% entlocken. Entgegen meiner Erwartungen ist es damit den Preis wert (und wird sicher nicht zurückgeschickt).
Meine Drehventiltrompeten sind eher dünn gebaut und klingen mit großen, tiefen Mundstücken (so soll es ja sein) richtig warm und fett. Der Preis den man zahlt ist, dass die Töne oberhalb der Notenlinien etwas matt/belegt klingen können, schwerer ansprechen oder minimal zu tief intonieren ... zumindest bei mir. Also mal an verschiedenen Stellen des Instrumentes anbringen und vorsichtig verschieben. Tatsächlich tut sich immer eine Kleinigkeit: An manchen Stellen änderte sich die Intonation einzelner Töne leicht (z.B. konnte man das e2 damit anheben, dafür wurde aber das c2 zu hoch). An anderen Stellen erhöhte sich der Widerstand, an anderen wieder klang das Instrument (zumindest hinter dem Becher) etwas nasaler. Im Endeffekt landete der Tonstabilisator auf dem Hauptstimmzug direkt in der Mitte des Bogens, parallel zum Schallbecher. Hier klang das Instrument direkter, sprach präziser an und vor allem wurden b2 und h2 strahlender und stimmten besser.
Andererseits bemerkte ich auf meiner (schweren) Perinet-Trompete kaum Vorteile, da war der TS-1 bzw. schwere Ventilkappen effizienter.
Mein Tipp: Geduldig an vielen Stellen ausprobieren (auch in einer Probe im Orchester oder Ensemble). Notfalls sind die Thomänner ja so freundlich und nehmen es zurück. Happy.

Habe es bei meiner Trompete u Piccolo getestet, es ist eine tolle Verbesserung der Stimmung u Intonation. Besonders bei meiner Piccolo Trompete Getzen, die um Klassen besser ist als vorher.
Intonation und Stimmung sind Klassen besser.👍
