Highlight ist für mich definitiv der DSP im Zusammenspiel mit Sonarworks. Ich messe meinen Raum ein, seichere das Profil direkt auf den Lautsprechern, und ich muss mir um Sonarworks keine Sorgen mehr machen, denn ich kann mich darauf verlassen, dass alles korrigiert ist, egal mit welcher Quelle ich die LS bespiele. Die Steuerung über Netzwerk funkioniert tadellos. Und ist auch einfach und schnell zu bedienen.

Klanglich ist definitiv der X-ART-Hochtöner der Star der Show. Alles was darüber kommt klingt sehr toll, auch wenn für mancher Leute Geschmack es vielleicht etwas zu schrill ist. Exakt klingt er allemal. Der 4" Tieftöner fällt für mich etwas ab. Der Bassbereich hört bei 52 Hz auf. Und die Tiefen müssen auch deutlich mit Sonarworks gezügelt und bearbeitet werden, sonst klingt es untenrum zu matschig.

Die schmale Abstrahlcharakteristik der Hochtänders erfordert eine exakte Aufstellung. Umso wichtiger je kleiner der Hörabstand ist. Wenn man zu hoch oder zu tief sitzt, sind zu viele Höhen bzw. Tiefen wahrnehmbar.

I've purchased them as a replacement for my Adam T5V, mostly because of the smaller size. I use them on my desk in a well-treated acoustically room.

I must say, that the low frequencies are very poor compared to Adam T5V. If you listen to T5V and A4V side-by-side, you can hear that there is almost no bass with A4V :(

There are buttons on the back side of the speaker, technically they should increase the bass and the treble, but those buttons has close-to-0 effect. They almost do nothing.

I want to emphasis that I only compare those A4V speakers to cheaper T5V variant and I must say - A4V are not worth the money absolutely. Do not get tricked with the "A-series marketing", A4V will disappoint you if you upgrade from T-series.

If with T5V I did not have to purchase a sub-woofer, with A4V now I have to, the sound is very flat.

So TLDR:
- very overpriced product
- poor low-frequency response compared to other similar cheaper monitors


If you are a big fan of "flat frequencies" - you are probably going to like it, but there are significantly cheaper alternatives.

Ich höre die A4Vs aus <1 m entfernung beim komponieren an meinem keyboard. Sie scheinen einfach perfekt zu sein. Ich habe die erfahrung gemacht, dass grössere lautsprecher in der kurzen entfernung mich eher ermüden. (alte Adam boxen mit 6 inch woofer). Eingemessen und korrigiert auf mein studio , mit SoundID, habe ich ein perfektes "flat" monitoring für meinen mix mit den A4V. Die speaker haben ausreichend bass, ein kleines wunder! Ich habe Adam Audios "A Control" installiert. Die korrekturkurven in der A4V abzulegen ist ideal, da die aktivierung von SoundID auf dem computer immer wieder neu initiiert werden muss. Dank SoundID kann ich in den A4V auch den sound der kleinen Auratone boxen simuliren. Viel geld gespart...

Prima di acquistare questi ho provato Genelec 8030 e non c'è stato paragone.
Acquistate maggiormente per suonare la chitarra, nelle Genelec i medi scomparivano (forse saranno utili per far altro?), mentre qui le frequenze ci sono tutte, oltre ad un'indiscutibile qualità musicale. Forse meno "naturale" delle Genelec, ma più godibile.
Hanno inoltre la possibilità di switchare tra un suono più flat, che uso con la chitarra, ed un suono più hi-fi (oltre al DSP modellabile), che uso per sentire musica. La differenza si sente!
Inoltre nessuna paura per il cono da 4'', i bassi sono ben più che sufficienti per un'ascolto da scrivania, ma anche da qualche metro. Provatele con Drinking in LA dei Bran Van e vi leverete ogni dubbio. Identici in quantità alle Genelec, che però hanno il cono da 5''.
